This year’s conference, themed "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰'𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀," will be held from 𝟬𝟵–𝟭𝟭 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at the 𝗝𝗖 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲, 𝗠𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗮, 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗮. During this conference, the Junior College will transform into a vibrant intellectual and cultural hub. • 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: The 2026 theme acknowledges the multifaceted and often challenging roles we inhabit as academic professionals. To provide targeted professional development, the program is structured around the four cardinal points:

      𝗘: 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 (Scholarship, Validity, and Impact)
      𝗦: 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 (Lifelong Professional Growth and Skill Acquisition)
      𝗪: 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 (Institutional Service, Administration, and Mentorship)

• 𝗖𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀:
      • 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁: A deep dive into the ethics of Generative AI in scholarship, research integrity, and maintaining rigor in a multidisciplinary world.
      • 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: A practical exploration of managing diverse classrooms, focusing on neurodivergence, multi-ethnicities, and varying abilities.

• 𝗔 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲: While plenary sessions follow the theme, the call for abstracts is open to every discipline—your specific field of research is welcome here.

• 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆: Presented work can be developed for submission to the peer-reviewed journal 𝙎𝙮𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙖 𝙈𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙖 (https://www.jc.um.edu.mt/about/ourpublications/symposiamelitensia).
