Chronic Wasting Disease

PA Game Commission Wildlife Biologist Robyn Crouthamel
will present an informational program on Chronic Wasting Disease that affects the deer family. It is an incurable brain disease caused by a misshapen protein known as a prion and is a threat to deer and elk in Pennsylvania.
Learn the facts about this fatal disease and what is being done by the PA Game Commission and what individuals can do to protect themselves and wildlife. Because much is still unknown about CWD, limiting exposure of all species to CWD is very important.
