Join us for an evening of true stories and great whiskey as Lyn Baker opens our new Storytellers series with a memorable night. We are launching this as a regularly occurring event highlighting the unique characters in our surrounding communities.
Lyn Baker is a lifelong resident of Marion County and has been a loyal supporter of Stories Whiskey Bar from the start. Well known for his countless captivating tales, Lyn is a master woodworker, a talented musician, hobby horticulturist with the greenest of thumbs, a discerning whiskey connoisseur, and can now add published author to his repertoire with the recent release of his book, The Store.
The Store, a memoir by author and native Arkansan, Lyn Baker, about growing up in and around his family’s old country store in Caney, Arkansas, the people, experiences, and stories of times from his past. Humorous in parts, heartfelt in all, The Store offers a tapestry of short stories which will transport the reader back to a time of close community and family that was once familiar to all. Most of all, The Store portrays the tenacity, resilience, quiet strength, and vulnerability of the remarkable people known as the greatest generation. So come on in and sit down with Lyn by the old stove and experience The Store.
We hope to see you there!
