- **Event Name**: Love and Respect Marriage Weekend
- **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 06 Nov, 2026 at 06:00 pm – Sat, 07 Nov, 2026 at 03:00 pm (-05:00)
- **Event Description**: Every Christian couple longs for a marriage that reflects Christ—a relationship marked by love, respect, trust, and lasting connection. Yet even the strongest marriages can drift into patterns of misunderstanding, miscommunication, and unmet expectations.

The good news is that God hasn't left us to figure marriage out on our own.

In Ephesians 5, Scripture provides a beautiful blueprint for healthy, Christ-centered marriages, along with the grace and power of the Holy Spirit to help us live it out.

The Love and Respect Marriage Weekend, based on Dr. Emerson Eggerichs' bestselling book, offers practical, biblical teaching that helps couples better understand one another and build healthier patterns of communication and connection.

Since 1998, the Love and Respect message has encouraged millions of couples around the world. While no conference can promise a perfect marriage, this weekend provides timeless biblical principles and practical tools that can help strengthen, restore, and deepen your relationship.

Whether you're single, newly married, celebrating decades together, or simply want to invest in your relationship before problems arise, this weekend is for you.

Throughout the weekend, you'll hear engaging teaching sessions rooted in Scripture and have opportunities to reflect on what you're learning with your spouse through guided discussions and breakout sessions. These moments are designed to help you move beyond simply hearing biblical principles to putting them into practice in your own marriage.

Whether your marriage is thriving or facing challenges, you'll leave with practical tools, renewed hope, and a clearer understanding of how to love and respect one another in everyday life.

Session Details

Session 1: The Crazy Cycle: Part 1
Decoding the Craziness! Research found that love and respect are the two key ingredients for a successful marriage. Though we all need love and respect equally, the felt need during conflict is as different as female is from male (Matthew 19:4).

Session 2: The Crazy Cycle - Part 2
When a conflict arises and your spouse becomes visibly upset, the root cause of the problem may not be the specific issue at hand. The issue is no longer the issue, but instead him feeling disrespected and her feeling unloved during conflict.

Session 3: The Energizing Cycle: Wives Part 1
We have been looking at the Crazy Cycle: Without love, she reacts without respect. Without respect, he reacts without love. Now we wish to consider the Energizing Cycle: His love motivates her respect. Her respect motivates his love. The question is raised: Who moves first? The one who sees himself or herself as the most mature moves first!

Session 4: The Energizing Cycle: Wives Part 2
Openness, Understanding, Peacemaking, Loyalty and Esteem are all examined to reveal what it can mean to love and energize a wife.

Session 5: The Energizing Cycle: Husbands Part 1
How does a wife put on respect without respecting unrespectable behavior?! The answer is simple: she respectfully confronts what feels unloving to her. But beyond that she can be proactive. She can actually meet a need in her husband for respect. However, this seems counterintuitive to her. It doesn’t feel natural. Learn about this through the acronym C.H.A.I.R.S. in the next two sessions.

Session 6: The Energizing Cycle: Husbands Part 2
Hierarchy, Authority, Insight, Relationship, and Sexuality are all examined to reveal what it can mean to respect and energize a husband.

Session 7: Sarah’s Application, Part 1
The best way to respect a wife is to love her in ways that are meaningful to her. Sarah goes through the practical application of C.O.U.P.L.E., with some ways to positively apply love to your wife.

Session 8: Sarah's Practical Application, Part 2
The best way to love a husband is to respect him in ways that are meaningful to him. In Part 2 Sarah continues the practical application of love and respect with C.H.A.I.R.S.
