Grades 2–12 | Instructor: Tim Lewis

Designed for students who already have a foundation in banjo or guitar, this 45-minute small group class helps young musicians expand their skills and grow as performers.

Students will work on more advanced techniques, repertoire, timing, improvisation, ear training, and ensemble playing while exploring traditional Appalachian music and other styles. Emphasis will be placed on musical expression, stage readiness, and developing the skills needed to play confidently with other musicians.

With personalized guidance from instructor Tim Lewis and the benefits of a small group setting, students will be challenged at their own level while gaining valuable experience playing alongside fellow musicians.

Students should bring their own banjo or guitar and have a basic knowledge of chords and playing techniques. Limited to 10 students. 

Cost for lessons is only $5 thanks to funding from the Morgan Wallen Foundation
