Jason Stevens Memorial Softball Tournament

IT’S BACK!!!
The tournament will be held on April 24-26, 2026 at Brittlebank Park in Mount Vernon.
For those not aware of what this tournament is, it has been a weekend that most describe as one of the best of the year. This years tournament will be an 8 team 2 day Double Elimination tournament in memory of Jason Stevens who was killed in a car accident on August 2nd, 2007 on his way home from the Air Force to visit family.
Jason was a standout athlete at Mount Vernon High School and later played 2 years of College Baseball at Southeastern Illinois Junior College before joining the Air Force where he served 2 tours in Iraq and also found a love for Slow Pitch Softball.
This tournament was a fundraising opportunity to donate the proceeds back to Mount Vernon Athletic programs. This year’s tournament will be a fundraiser for our Mount Vernon Youth Softball program. Mark this weekend on your calendars, pack up the grill, canopy, and lawn chairs and bring the family out and enjoy a weekend full of softball and many laughs!
