We’re inviting members of the Immigrant Workers Centre community to come together to listen, talk, and experiment with sound and radio. What can we make together with our voices and the sounds around us? 

No experience is needed — just curiosity. Together, we’ll decide what the project becomes: a radio piece, a performance, or something else entirely. You can join once or come regularly. Speaking, listening, recording, or simply being present — all forms of participation are welcome!

Martín Rodríguez is a transmission and sound artist whose work emerges from his Xicanx upbringing along the Arizona-Mexico border. He employs performance, intervention, and installation as a process for deciphering aural histories and entangled identities.

La participation est gratuite. Les participant∙e ∙s recevront un certificat de participation à la fin de la session (à noter que ce certificat ne constitue pas une qualification professionnelle).

Nous invitons les membres de la communauté du Centre des travailleurs et travailleuses immigrants à se rassembler afin d’écouter, de discuter et d’expérimenter avec le son et la radio. Que pouvons-nous créer ensemble avec nos voix et les sons qui nous entourent ?

Aucune expérience n’est requise, il suffit d’être curieux∙ses. Ensemble, nous déciderons de la forme que prendra le projet : une émission de radio, un spectacle ou autre chose encore. Vous pouvez participer une seule fois ou encore venir régulièrement. Parler, écouter, enregistrer ou simplement être présent∙e : toutes les formes de participation sont les bienvenues !
Martín Rodríguez est artiste sonore et radiophonique. Son travail émerge de son vécu Xicanx et de son enfance passée dans la région frontalière entre l’Arizona et le Mexique. À travers la performance, l'intervention et l'installation il cherche à déchiffrer des récits sonores et des identités enchevêtrées.
