As it starts to rise, steeply, the maintenance issues occur more frequently. There are a few small logs, a couple tread issues, and some spot brushing in those first two miles. As it begins to rise towards an old mine at mile 2.6, the brushiness gets worse. There are approximately 6 logs requiring a crosscut, the first being 1.5 miles in, and the last at approximately 2.5 miles in. Past the 2.5 mile mark it gets substantially brushier, and steeper.Hiking information:The first two miles or so are relatively flat. There's minor maintenance needed in this first section, so I expect to ge through it in one to three trips. Past that point the trail rises steeply for another three miles. At points very steep, but with overall good tread and little to no exposure to falling hazards. Due to the length of the trail, these events will likely go a bit longer than usual, no later than 4pm.You should plan to participate in this trail party for its entirety.
