Meet the Author - Susan Coventry

Her new book Till Taught by Pain is a dual biographical novel focused on Dr. William Stewart Halsted, the first surgeon-in-chief at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and Caroline Hampton Halsted, the O.R. nurse he wed, who was also the niece of Confederate General Wade Hampton. It is a story of life-altering addiction, enormous achievement, and enduring love. She has also written The Queen’s Daughter and writes Regency Romance under the pen name Carol Coventry.
