Students in grades K-12th are invited to audition for our spring production of  Alice in Wonderland, JR.  Auditions will be held Monday and Tuesday, March 23 and 24 at 4:30 pm at The Andy Griffith Playhouse, 218 Rockford Street, Mount Airy, NC.

Fall down the rabbit hole with Alice as she navigates the curious world of Wonderland on a journey of self-discovery. When young Alice finds herself in a strange world where everything seems upside down, she must find her way home…and find herself along the way. As she travels through Wonderland, she encounters all of the iconic characters that audiences have come to love: including the ever-tardy White Rabbit, the grinning Cheshire Cat, a cool Caterpillar, the wacky Mad Hatter, and the hot-tempered Queen of Hearts.

No experience is necessary to audition.  Monday will be vocal auditions and Tuesday will include reading from the script. Those auditioning are asked to attend both audition days.  Rehearsals will be Monday – Thursday from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm.  Production dates are        May 7 – 9.  We are also looking for people to be involved  backstage in areas of props, costumes, running crew, lighting, sound, etc.  

Those auditioning should choose one of the two music cuts posted on the Surry Arts Council Facebook page.  You can also email melanie@surryarts.org to have the information sent to you digitally or with any questions regarding auditions.
