If so, this experiential workshop invites you into a creative therapeutic space where you can explore healing methods that nourish both your personal journey and your clients’ therapeutic process. It offers a safe, reflective and healing space to gently explore your own experiences of resistance as they emerge in your work with others.
About the Workshop:
This workshop encourages participants to view resistance as a natural, protective response rather than an obstacle. Through therapeutic and creative arts processes, metaphor, and gentle reflection, you will be invited to meet your own, and others’ resistance with curiosity, compassion, and safety. Together, we will explore how inner barriers can transform into bridges towards deeper understanding, connection, and therapeutic change. You will also have the opportunity to reflect on how clients’ expressions of resistance can impact your own personal process as a therapist.
Through expressive arts therapies, including symbols, sculpting, imagery, dialogue, and embodiment, you will be guided to gently meet the parts that hesitate, block, hold back, or wish to remain unseen. This workshop provides practical tools and creative approaches for transforming resistance into pathways of engagement, attunement, and connection.

About The Workshop Facilitator:
This workshop will be facilitated by Sam Fenech who has been practicing in the helping and caring profession since 2005. Sam is a social worker by profession and graduated from Roehampton University in London with an MA in Dramatherapy in 2010. He is a warranted social worker and psychotherapist and an HCPC Registered Dramatherapist in the UK.
He has extensive experience of therapeutic work with children, adolescents and their families, many of whom have been through severe trauma and/or severe struggles in their lives. Sam has completed training in Systemic and Family Constellations in recent years, including training about The Orders of Love and The Orders of Helping and has incorporated these therapeutic approaches into his practice.
He has also set up and managed a Children's Home for children who have been through severe trauma, for over ten years, and is currently the Head of a Psychosocial Team in a Youth Therapeutic Unit.

Workshop Fee - 100 Euro.
When workshop is full, interested persons will be put on a waiting list and offered a space in case any one of the participants on the workshop drop their application. There is obviously no fee for interested persons who are put on a waiting list until they are offered a secure place on the workshop. Workshop fees are non-refundable unless the workshop facilitator cancels the event in rare circumstances.
You will receive a CPD certificate (7 hours) of participation and attendance at the end of the workshop. The workshop includes Tea and Coffee breaks.
