FLEW THE ARROW

From the heart of Burns Country in South West Scotland, Flew The Arrow is the poetic embodiment of Folk Singer, Guitarist and Songwriter, Lee McGilvray, also the creator and curator of Glasgow’s award-winning Folk Club, Gathering South Sessions, having won ‘Folk Club of the Year’ at the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards 2023.
Lee has forged a path in the Scottish music community for the past decade, having immersed himself in its festivals and event culture and performed to audiences throughout, connecting his resonance and stories to all who lend an ear.

With a subtle blend of rich vocal harmony, sweeping string arrangements alongside heartfelt piano and guitar.
They are songs to evoke life’s deeper meaning and to inspire connection within ourselves and the natural space around us.
J P weaves a musical tapestry, with spellbinding songs and performances that leave audiences feeling genuinely moved by a truly magical event.

More about the venue...

Due to the remote nature of the church it does not have power. The venue will be candleit and free hot drinks will be served on arrival and in the interval (please consider bringing your own cup to cut down on waste).

There is a covered camping toilet on site.

There will be enough natural light after the gig to make your way back to your vehicles but please bring a torch just in case. The venue will be candlelit. Please bring warm clothing and blankets/hot drinks to make yourself comfortable.

When parking on the verge (look out for the signs when you arrive) , please park as close to eachother as possible to allow for as many cars as we can (consider lift sharing where possible) and park in a way that allows farm traffic to pass on the lane.
