He was instrumental in developing SER’s policies on restoration practice. He has restored forested wetlands on central Florida’s phosphate mined and reclaimed lands as well as wet pine savannahs in coastal Mississippi right here in Jackson County to name only a few. Dr. Clewell has collaborated with practitioners in China to restore giant panda habitat and in Chile on Nothofagus forest restoration. Grand Bay Estuary Tour This field trip will provide attendees with an on-the-water boat experience tour of the Grand Bay Estuary with opportunities to see several of the unique estuarine habitats in the area including salt pannes, shell middens and others.
