- **Event Description**: May is National Bike Month, and that means it’s time once again for our annual Bike and Walk for the Health of It event.

This community favorite encourages residents of all ages to get outside, get active, and have fun together. Participants can walk one mile, bike three miles or take on the full nine-mile bike route. (Trustee Aaron Myszka will lead those ready to tackle the nine miles.)

This year brings an exciting new addition with the Evergreen Bike Park Trail Challenge! In partnership with Wausau United Ride Group, participants are invited to Conquer the Course by riding through the new bike park featuring hills, terrain features and bike obstacles designed for fun and skill-building. Those who complete the challenge will earn a special medal as a keepsake of their accomplishment.

The event also features free bike raffles (FIVE FREE BIKES!) sponsored by TDS Telecommunications, the always-popular Fender Blender where you pedal to make your own lemonade, and food trucks!

Whether you walk, ride, or conquer the course, there’s something for everyone. Dogs on leashes are welcome, too.

Join us on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in Towering Pines Park at 2355 Tower Road and be part of our healthiest event of the summer.
