Pottery + Alpacas = the kind of unique fun we are always saying yes to! Get creative with us as you create your unique cheese board through using a fun slab technique to shape your ceramic board and then add personality with fun stencils to create texture (think: modern patterns, florals, boho vibes, or totally wild designs). No experience needed—this is all about relaxing, getting creative, and enjoying the moment. We’ll bring the clay, tools, stencils, and all the guidance. You bring your cozy clothes, your imagination, and your best “alpaca encounter” energy. After the event, we’ll take your piece back to the studio to be glazed + kiln-fired, then it’ll be ready for its snack-serving debut.

This will be a professionally facilitated class, held in collaboration with Experience Pottery, taking place right in the pastures with our adorable alpacas. Interact with our alpacas, feed them carrots, and take the perfect selfie while you create!

When: Saturday, July 25 from 4:00 – 6:00pm
Where: Alpacas of Windy Heaven Farm (153 Center Street, Covington Township, PA 18424)
Cost: $50.00 per person

What Happens After Your Cheese Board Pottery Experience

Drying & First Firing Process:
- Your beautiful cheese board will dry at Experience Pottery's home studio in Clarks Summit
- Pieces are processed on a first-come, first-serve kiln schedule
- First firing occurs approximately 5 days after your July 25th experience

Glazing & Final Firing:
- After 24-48 hours of cooling, your piece will be carefully glazed
- Second firing takes 24-36 hours to complete
- Each piece is then packed and labeled with care

Pickup Timeline:
- Your finished pottery will be ready for pickup in 3-4 weeks at Alpacas of Windy Heaven Farm.

Remember your pottery piece will be:

Additional Farm Details:

***  In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside of the barn to continue the pottery and alpaca adventure ***
- The farm is currently home to 31 adorable alpacas, who you will get to meet and interact with during the event.
- Carrots will be provided with your ticket price. Please do not bring any outside food to the event.
- This event is BYOB. Glass is not permitted for the safety of the animals. However, you are welcome to bring your favorite drink in a non-glass container with a lid for your enjoyment.
- Dogs and other pets are not permitted at the farm, as the alpacas are afraid of them.
- Refunds will not be given for no shows,
