Mini-Adventures for you and your little one. Stay to play and picnic. Recommended ages 3-7.
Weds. September 10: What is a Leaf? – It might seem simple, but a leaf is so much! Their shapes, textures, smells, and compounds mean that we can learn so much from them. Let’s get to know how we can identify different leaves, which leaves are your favorite smelling, which leaves we can eat (and NOT eat), and more!
Weds. October 1: What are Flowers? – You might think of spring when it comes to flowers, but autumn means a showcase of asters and goldenrod. Let’s check out the two main types of flowers, how they grow, their sizes, life cycles, and more to get a better understanding of what they mean to the world around them.
Weds. November 5: Why do Leaves Fall? – Colors, crumbles, and crunch! Fall is fun, just like learning outside. We’ll get insight on things like “are the trees really going to sleep?”, and use the leaves and seeds around us to create, study, and play.
Weds. December 3: What Can We Make with Nature? – This fall has been all about leaves and flowers, but now it’s looking sparse. We will search for things that stay green in the winter, and things that we can use to make art. We will complete at least two easy nature projects that you’ll take home for indoor decorating.
