Land Rovers Across Lake Baikal, Siberia
Do you like exciting drives and can you bear some serious cold?
If you’ve answered yes to both then the Blue Eye of Siberia is calling your name.
Lake Baikal is often called the Diamond of the Planet because when its clear water freezes to 50 centimetres of ice staring into the depths of it is no less mesmerising than looking into the heart of a diamond. And, we want you to drive on this breath-taking miracle of nature this winter. Are you game?
This is a trip that is for the adventure seeker, because it means embarking on a 6-day drive across snow and iced up roads, sometimes through ice grottos, under frozen waterfalls and across Lake Baikal in all its frozen glory.
You’ll be at the wheel of the very capable and legendary Land Rover Discovery with expert guidance from an instructor seated in your car. You’ll see the face Siberia not many foreigners see and stay the nights at warm and comfortable hotels and enjoy traditional Russian food and drink.
