Her journeys to remote locations have generated challenges and experiences she never imagined. She’s visited Antarctica as a wildlife vet, lived for two weeks on an uninhabited Bass Strait island, searched for tigers and snow leopards in Bhutan, and undertaken gruelling hikes in Tasmania. And still works as a vet, caring for domestic animals and wildlife. Karen feels fortunate that being a woman has never held her back and that she’s always had her family's support.We’ll also hear a short presentation from local advocate Rhonnie South, who has been standing up against domestic and family violence in the Eurobodalla.
