Introducing Brian & Ellie's Performance Team -- BE BACHATA -- the ideal opportunity for NC dancers to take their bachata skills beyond the social dancing floor. 

You're not just here to learn how to dance on stage...Expect technique-intensive training & choreography instruction that will include:

• Proficiency in Bachata fundamentals
• Leading & following dynamics
• Turning & spinning technique
• Body movements & isolations
• Tension, Direction & Energy
• Drills & material for at-home practice
• Lifts & tricks
• Mastery of choreography
• Social dancing skills & etiquette
• Performance preparation & stage etiquette

Our team orientation will be Saturday August 23rd from 12-2pm at Carmen's Cuban Cafe - this is a FREE information session & choreography audition for any dancers interested in joining. This is an open Q&A to answer any questions/concerns you may have regarding schedule, commitment, team expectations & more. 

Some frequently asked questions:

1. No partner is required to join the team! Partners will be assigned prior to performing. 
2. The performance team is open to all levels, but prior education of Bachata is expected.
3. There will be a 1x monthly team due.
4. Performances will begin in 2026.
5. Local & national performance opportunities will be available.
6. Performing is optional but highly encouraged! 
7. Team training begins in September 2025.
