Class Details:

LEVEL 1 FUNDAMENTALS (60 mins.)
We will explore:
-Developing dance posture and body awareness
-Understanding body angles
-Fundamental bellydance isolations
-Foundation Folk Fusion steps
-Basic music concepts for dancers
-Connecting with others through movement 
-Feeling the joy and beauty of bellydance in your own unique body
         
This class is for new dancers, those new to the style, or experienced dancers seeking to refine their technique.

LEVEL 1 & 1+ BEYOND FUNDAMENTALS (90 mins)
Journey further into Folk Fusion Bellydance. We will:

-Build on concepts introduced in Level 1
-Expand our movement vocabulary with more complex steps
-Create smooth and beautiful transitions
 -Refine technique
 -Explore group improvisation and flow
-Develop finger cymbal technique and musicality

This class is for dancers who have completed at least one cycle of Level 1, and who are comfortable with the basics.

PERFORMANCE TECHNIQUE/STUDENT TROUPE
This class is by permission only. Students must have completed at least one cycle of Level 1, and be concurrently enrolled in Level 1 or higher. Required for students wishing to participate in the Lucky 13 Student Troupe. 

This class focuses on:
     Performance skills
     Musicality and finger cymbal work
     Picky technique
     Formations and passes
     Transitions
     Choreography and Improvisational Choreo
     Props
     Developing personal style and self-expression
     
Performance tech students will receive individual goal-setting plans and mentoring.

Tuition:

LEVEL 1 $90 for six weeks
LEVEL 1 & 1+ $125 for six weeks
PERFORMANCE TECH $70/6 wks

Drop ins welcome, $20 for 60 min Level 1, $30 for 90 min Level 1 & 1+.
