Vermont Creative Works is turning ONE—and we’re celebrating with a full day of art, music, creativity, and community!

It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since we first opened our doors. Since then, VCW has grown into a bustling creative home for artists, makers, small businesses, workshops, community gatherings, and plenty of unexpected ideas. On October 3, we’re filling the building—and the lawn out front—with even more to discover.

Our First Anniversary Celebration coincides with Vermont Open Studio Weekend, so it’s the perfect day to wander through VCW, meet the people who create and work here, explore the studios, shop local, and see what’s been growing behind our doors.

Throughout the day, you’ll find local artists and makers vending outside, live music, open studios, demonstrations and creative happenings, plus special anniversary surprises throughout VCW.

Inside, explore our new Roots & Wings exhibition, created especially for our anniversary. Just as we did for our Grand Opening one year ago, participating artists have each transformed a wooden circle into an original work of art—this time inspired by the theme Roots & Wings. The pieces will be displayed together down our hallway and available through an online auction benefiting Vermont Creative Works and participating artists.

And because it wouldn’t be a birthday without a few surprises, we’ll also have a raffle, hidden discounts throughout the store, special finds, and other little surprises to discover while you explore.

Come celebrate how far we’ve come, meet the artists and people who make this place what it is, find something wonderful to take home, and help us kick off Year Two.
