No experience necessary.About this EventEveryone of all ages is invited to join Morristown Centennial Library and River Arts for a FREE family-friendly community Contra Dance on Saturday, April 18th, from 6-9pm at River Arts in celebration of Morristown Free University. A beginner's lesson will be from 6-6:45pm, and the dance begins at 7pm. No partner needed- you will find one organically once the dancing starts!Contra dancing is a social, community-oriented American folk dance where couples dance in two long parallel lines, progressing up and down the hall to meet new partners. Led by a caller with no experience required, it features live music, simple walking steps, and, for many, is considered an accessible "entryway dance."Live band, Atlantic Crossing, and caller, Nils Fredland, will be leading us for a high-energy, joyous night with community!Delicious nibbles by Sweet & Savory and Jasper Hill Cheese will be provided.
