A couple set out to walk the South West Coast Path. Flashbacks culminate in them eviction from their farm and home and he being diagnosed with a degenerative terminal disease. The 630-mile trek seems to be their only option to survive on their only source of income a weekly state benefit of £40.
As they walk they come to terms with the shame associated with homelessness and the widely different reactions of people they meet, ranging from scorn to sympathy and assistance.
