NWOP is one of the leading art awards and exhibitions in the country, attracting Australia’s foremost contemporary artists working with paper.Through this nationally significant award, MPRG has proudly acquired 14 winning works, a further 91 through its precursor, the Spring Festival of Drawing and many more purchased for the Gallery by the Friends of MPRG—building one of Australia’s most significant collections of works on paper. With a $20,000 major acquisitive prize, NWOP continues to play a vital role in supporting artists and advancing the practice of contemporary Australian art on paper.This year, 68 works have been selected from over 900 entries.Please join the shortlisted artists and the MPRG team to celebrate the opening of the exhibition and witness the live announcement of the 2026 prize winners and aquisitions.Celebrations continue after the announcements with complimentary canapés and the chance to enjoy a glass of delicious Mornington Peninsula grown wine, available for $8 a glass.
