George Hickox Bird Dogs

The George Hickox Bird Dog Clinic for Owners and their dogs is an in-depth three days of learning how to be a better trainer and advance your dog to a high standard. 

Live birds will be used throughout the clinic for  introducing young dogs to birds or training older more  experienced dogs to have better bird manners. The  course is a hands on training program and owners will  learn proper e-collar training, how to get their dogs to  handle more efficiently, how to train their dogs to hold  point, back, and be steady to wing and shot. 

Field veterinary subjects will be covered so owners know  how to deal with the dangers that can occur in the field.  Nutrition will cover how to feed effectively for the working  dog, and the importance of fats and glycogen. George will discuss how to properly condition the working dog. Both aerobic conditioning and resistance training will be covered. 

The class is limited to the number of participants to ensure individual training and provide optimum learning. 

There will only be 10 slots for participants with their dogs for hands on attention. Tuition - $1295 per team; $800 tuition for audit spots. Deposits will be required to hold your spots as they are limited.  $995 early bird team tuition, $600 audit early bird if booked by March 29th
