EVENT DESCRIPTION
The primary format of Prerelease events, sealed play is a limited format that combines the limited card pool aspect of draft play with the more open-ended deckbuilding approach of constructed. Like draft play, everyone starts the event off on equal footing, and like constructed play, this format gives you the opportunity to let your deckbuilding skills shine.

At the beginning of this Pre-Release event, players will receive a Pre-Release Box including six booster packs as well as Leader promo cards. Players must use the cards within those packs to build a deck while adhering to the following rules:

Decks must consist of exactly one leader, exactly one base, and a minimum 30-card draw deck. Sideboards include all of the other cards opened from packs. Players may use any common base for their deck, even one that did not come from one of the booster packs. Players may only use a rare base if it was in one of the booster packs opened. A player’s draw deck can include any number of copies of the same card. 

Once deckbuilding is over, players will participate in a three-round Swiss tournament. Each round is best-of-3, 55 minutes long.

Word on the street is there’s a high-security vault system sitting in plain sight, packed with credits, contraband, and the kind of treasures that make Hutts smile. The wrong people want in. They hired slicers. That means you.

During our A Lawless Time Pre-Release, every player is taking a side job: crack a vault code and get paid. You’ll choose one of three targets at the start and you’re locked in for the night:

Easy Vault: one-digit code. Quick hit, smaller payout.
Medium Vault: two-digit code. Better loot, tighter security.
Hard Vault: three-digit code. Big score, if you’ve got the nerve.

Here’s how it works: After each tournament round, you get one shot to slice your vault - one code guess per round. Win your round? You earn an extra guess, because the best crews get the best access. The harder the vault you picked, the better the rewards when you finally crack it.

And here’s the real incentive: if you successfully crack your vault, you don’t just walk away with what’s inside. You also get your name entered into a drawing for a Booster Box of the new set. Consider it a little bonus from your “employer” for getting the job done without tripping the alarms.

Choose your job carefully. Play it safe and take the steady credits, or go full outlaw and chase the big score. Either way, no one breaks into a vault alone; you’ll have to earn those extra attempts the hard way: across the table.

PRIZING
All participating players will receive two booster packs of A Lawless Time for playing in the event. Additionally, players will earn a pack per match win through the event (maximum three packs per player). All players will be able to participate in our Kessel Run side event!
