Bloodroot Writers Collective is a year-round literary arts program for youth (ages 13–17) rooted in Eastern Kentucky and hosted at the Rowan County Arts Center. We cultivate powerful young voices in creative writing through community, craft, mentorship, and place-based storytelling inspired by Appalachian heritage.
Each meeting is a monthly workshop featuring creative writing, peer critique, and performance opportunities led by Amy Le Ann Richardson with guest Appalachian writers opportunities. These sessions are designed to help emerging writers grow their voice, build confidence, and connect with other young creatives.
