We have several fun events to help you celebrate the holiday, including a golf cart parade, a community picnic, and a dazzling fireworks display!

-Red, White and Cruise Golf Cart Ride
Enter to be a part of the Red, White and Cruise Golf Cart Ride along the Morehead City Waterfront! This event will take place at 11 a.m. and is free to register. Only 25 spots are available, and this is first-come, first-serve. 

The golf cart must be registered in advance with the Morehead City Police Department, and drivers must be at least 18 years old. Registration will close on July 1.

Golf carts must be decorated with red, white and blue, but no political signs or imagery are permitted. Pets are not allowed, and for safety reasons, nothing can be thrown from the golf carts, including candy.

The route will run from the 9th Street Parking Lot/Jaycee Park on Shepard Street to the 4th Street Parking lot and head back west on Evans Street to 10th Street. We encourage the public to come out and enjoy this mini parade!

-America250 Common Ground Giant Picnic Event
Enjoy a picnic at Katherine Davis Park with members of your community! 

This event will be held at 6 p.m. and is free to attend. You can bring your own picnic food, or purchase from food trucks on scene or area restaurants. The Frosty Flounder and Beach Weenies will be on site selling delicious food and treats. Morehead City will provide the giant picnic blanket. No pets, please. 

There will also be family-friendly games and activities, as well as live music by Donivan Carter and the Black Cowboys, from 6 - 9:30 p.m. Katherine Davis Park is located at 601 Arendell St.

-Fireworks Display
Find your favorite spot along the downtown Morehead City Waterfront to watch a dazzling fireworks display at 9 p.m. Arrive early to claim your spot and find the best parking.  

Please note, from 6-10 p.m., Shepard Street will be closed to vehicles from the intersection of 8th to 7th street.
