Join us for a picturesque circular walk in a stunning location, with expansive views of Morecambe Bay. This 10-mile (16km) route is easy - moderate, following paths through gorgeous woodland, visiting Pepperpot (a monument to mark Queen Victoria's jubilee), the Trig point at the top of Arnside Knott, quirky features around Silverdale, and fabulous coastline.
With a total elevation of just 800ft (245m), this is a relatively flat route of gentle elevation (although there are some short steeper sections, including a fun little (very short and not exposed) limestone scramble.
There will be a mix of terrain, including woodland paths, grassy farmland, some limestone pavement which may be slippery if wet, and a few little sections on road. avery civilised and pleasant route, with no bog and only 1 stile!
We will have an earlier start than normal, to beat the crowds. We expect to take around 4.5 - 5 hours on this route, taking our time to enjoy a lunch stop in the pleasant scenery and good company!
Well behaved, friendly (with other dogs and people), agile dogs are welcome (max. 2 per person).
This small-group guided walk is professionally led by Clare, a qualified Mountain Leader and Outdoor First Aider / Mental Health First Aider, with full PL insurance. Booking is essential, places are limited and cost £18 per person.
