- **Event Description**: Mirador presents "Art Reproducing Art, with an Aura of Tradition" with Rosie Tacon-Glass and Charlotte DoneAbout this EventSpend the day creating Collage and Riso prints, using archive materials, photographs and prints from the 1890 - mid 1920’s.We'll be exploring the life and work of Karel Klíč, a pioneer in photogravure, who developed a method of reproducing high quality images, which brought art to the masses after joining forces with the Storey Brothers.Collage artist Rosie-Tacon-Glass and Riso printer Charlotte Done will lead you through the creative processes and printing with the Risograph, recreating local stories visually and with a modern twist.While Photogravure is a photo-mechanical process, used to reproduce detailed continuous tones of a photograph, Riso printing uses a risograph duplicating machine.The Riso printer works in a similar way to screen printing it's a fun and quick way to scan & print, using non-toxic vibrant inks.Age - 18 + (Under 18 will need an adult to attend)No experience necessary - All materials are provided - wear suitable clothing for glueing and printing.Bring a packed lunch for a 45 min break
