Bring water, a whistle, the 10 essentials for day hiking (
https://americanhiking.org/resources/10essentials/), skis or snow shoes (or both), clothing appropriate for the trail and for time around a bonfire or two, your camera, and a friend or two!

The meeting location is a little spur road sometimes known as Jolene about 2 miles north of US-2 on Brevort Lake Road -- 10 miles west of Saint Ignace. This is where the NCT crosses Brevort Lake Road. See a map that shows the NCT here:

>> 5:00pm -- Bonus Hike -- Stomp the Park! Meet at The Michigan Welcome Center at the north end of the Mackinac Bridge and explore the trails and sights within the park. Great and unique views of the bridge are found here. Watch the Bridge lights turn on as the sun sets! Bring a flashlight or a head lamp.

To get to the Welcome Center from the north, there is a left turn ramp on I-75 just before you get to the Mackinac Bridge Toll Booth Plaza.
>> 7:00pm-ish -- Dinner at a local location. A great way to finish the day! Please text or message if you plan to stick around for dinner.
