This 5K/10K run/walk benefits Diabetes Dayton. We invite you to support Diabetes Dayton with your registration and/or donation. The blue circle is the universal symbol for diabetes, and this race’s proceeds will benefit those affected by all types of Diabetes.


About Diabetes Dayton
Diabetes Dayton, An Agency of LifeCare Alliance,  has been serving the Dayton area since 1963. Our mission is to improve the quality of life with programs and services that address the prevention and management of diabetes. All monies raised for Diabetes Dayton stay in the local Greater Dayton community. Our programs and services include: free ADA-accredited diabetes education classes, diabetes supplies for the uninsured, diabetes screenings, presentations, resource referral, and a summer camp for children living with Type 1 diabetes.

Pre-race (at Diabetes Dayton office

4pm to 7pm - Pick up and online registration 

Race day (at the Mandalay Event Center)
8am to 8:45am - Race day packet pick up and online registration 

9am - 5K and 10K start

Race day registration is online only until 8:45am!

Both distances $30!

April 2nd through September 30th
5K walk/run $35 | 10k run $40 | Virtual $35

October 1st - November 7th at 7:45am. 
5k walk/run $40 | 10k run $45 | Virtual $40


We will be enforcing a 15-minute/mile pace for the 10K. Please keep this in mind as you're selecting your event. 10K participants will be the first to line up and start.


Registration includes a short-sleeve shirt if registered by 10/28. You can instead purchase a long-sleeve shirt or hoodie if you'd prefer. 


Blue circle accessories/attire strongly encouraged!! After you register, create your own fundraiser page and share it with family and friends. Earn up to $25 by referring your friends and family! For every FIVE people who register with your code, you'll earn $5 back!


Virtual Race Option:
Want to support Diabetes Dayton but aren't able to attend in person? Register virtually and pick up your race items at Diabetes Dayton or choose to have them mailed to you.

Registration and races start/end at the Mandalay Event Center.


Course Information:
The race is timed by Key Sports. Per the event insurance, no animals are allowed at the event (service animals are, of course, permitted). You must be able to hear instructions from volunteers, first responders, and event staff, so we strongly advise against wearing headphones and earbuds. 


Race Awards:
In order to help keep our Blue Circle event affordable for all participants, we have made the difficult decision to no longer offer a race medal.  All participants who register by the shirt deadline will still receive a race shirt.  We appreciate your understanding as we make this change to better support Diabetes Dayton programs and services for the diabetic community.


Cancellation Policy:
By registering for this race, you agree that there will be no refunds offered for this event. In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, pandemic, or for any other reason deemed necessary by timing company, race organizers, public safety officials, or anyone else in charge, we reserve the right to reschedule the event date if possible, cancel the race, or convert this to a virtual race. There will be no refunds for any reason, and race items will not be mailed.

The weather in Ohio can be unpredictable. Unless we have thunder, lightning, ice on the course, unsafe temperatures, or are not permitted to drive on the roads, we will host the race. If we have to cancel for the aforementioned reasons or other reasons not mentioned, the race will be virtual, and shirts will be available for pick up at a date to be determined. 


Transfer Policy:
If you find that you can no longer participate in this event, transfers to another participant will be permitted through October 7th. 


Refund Policy:
There will be no refunds for any reason and race items will not be mailed.
