Njal's Saga Opening Reception

Join us as we display the Njals Saga Tapestry! This one of a kind tapestry was made in Iceland over seven years by volunteers using Viking methods of embroidery! Claudia Pétursson, who has been involved with the project for a number of years, will present on the story of it and its importance to Icelandic history. Light refreshments will be provided as well. This event is free and open to the public.

This event is funded in part by a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council through a Minnesota State Legislative appropriation; The Arts Partnership with support from the Cities of Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo; the Alex Stern Family Foundation, the Fargo-Moorhead Area Foundation, the F-M Icelandic Klub, and Maureen Kelly Jonason.
