Using the warm tones of autumn and the cool tones of winter, we’ll explore how colour, line, and texture create mood and character in nature.

We’ll begin with watercolour washes, texture, and expressive mark-making, experimenting with salt and natural tools like sticks and dip pens. At the end, we’ll add ink to our work, learning all about Walnut Ink — how it’s made, its beautiful warm brown tone, and how to use it to add depth and character.

What you’ll learn:

*Wet-on-wet techniques and expressive mark-making
*Creating texture with salt and sticks
*How to use walnut ink for tone and depth
*Capturing the mood of Autumn and Winter through colour choices

Great for all skill levels, including beginners. No experience needed — just curiosity and creativity.

All materials are provided. Bring your lunch or enjoy one of Montville’s lovely cafés during the break.
