Ordinary Elephant have spent the better part of the last decade on a never-ending worldwide tour, that has earned them widespread critical acclaim, as well as making fans of luminaries, such as Mary Gauthier and Tom Paxton.

In 2027, Ordinary Elephant received the International Folk Music Award for Artist of the Year, on the strength of their breakout Album, ” Before I Go.”  Two years later, the similarly lauded “Honest ” was hailed by The Associated Press as ” one of the best Americana Albums of the Year.

The band’s self-titled collection was nominated for Album of the Year at the International Folk Music Awards 2024. It was recorded at the Louisiana studio of producer and multi-instrumentalist, Dirk Powell, for a decade the accompanist of Joan Baez, and who has played with Rhiannon Giddens, as well as Levon Helm of The Band.
