- **Event Description**: Our November Dementia Friendly pick is the joyful MGM musical On the Town (1949)! ??⚓

Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, and Jules Munshin star as three sailors on 24 hours of shore leave in New York City! Determined to make the most of their brief time on land, Gabey, Chip, and Ozzie race through iconic landmarks, fall for spirited local women, and get into all sorts of romantic misadventures.

Featuring unforgettable songs like “New York, New York” and dazzling dance sequences choreographed by Kelly himself, On the Town is a vibrant, high-energy love letter to the excitement and adventure of the Big Apple. ??✨

These special showings are all about creating a warm, welcoming space where older generations—and those living with dementia—can reconnect with classic films from years gone by. (Though all are welcome!)

Expect a relaxed atmosphere, familiar beloved titles, and heartwarming nostalgia—plus cake and a cuppa included with every ticket! ☕? Whether you're planning a visit with a senior family member, coming along with a local group, or just fancy a solo afternoon trip down memory lane...
