Join IN THE FLESH for a SAT AFTN SPECIAL in Johnshaven Village Hall. These happen during the 4 day summer schools and include something a bit special (such as three models). 

2 pm - 5 pm. The next available dates are: 


FRID OR SAT AFTN 10/11 Jul: 
Chiaroscuro Portrait or Life Drawing and Painting 
Draw and sculpt (in clay) a sketch from life model 

FRID OR SAT AFTN 17/18 Jul: 
Life Drawing 

FRID OR SAT AFTN 24/25 Jul: 
'En Plein Air' MINI CANVAS Mixed Media Drawing & Painting

As always, tuition will be tailored to the level of each individual. Everyone is welcome. Beginners through to advanced. 


All materials and equipment provided with the exception of canvas. 

Tea/coffee/light refreshments provided. Johnshaven is a great place to visit and has three great venues serving food: The Anchor Hotel Restaurant, Hidden Treasure Tearoom and The Lobster Shop. The village is very popular with holiday makers, with many places offering accommodation.

Bringing out the best in your creativity - with over 23 years teaching experience and 30 years life drawing: Rebecca Westguard is a distinctly skilled practising artist/educator delivering IN THE FLESH courses in sculpture, drawing and painting.

Studio's take place in Johnshaven, Fittie and the Northern Arts Club. In addition to some excellent afternoon, evening and weekend opportunities, a selection of 4 day courses are also available. Subjects include:

• Life drawing/painting.
• Figure/portrait clay sculpting.
• Portraiture drawing/painting.
• En Plein Air drawing/painting/mixed media.
• Children's workshops.
