Anne-Marie Bouchard vit et travaille à Québec. Elle réalise des films et vidéos depuis 1999 et crée des installations depuis 2001. Son cinéma est un art de perceptions, d’impressions, d’évocation : de poésie. Ses films ont été diffusés dans de nombreux festivals nationaux et internationaux.

Manon Sioui est une artiste autochtone multidisciplinaire autodidacte de Wendake dont la pratique s’étend sur plus de 30 ans. Elle puise l’inspiration de ses œuvres à même la culture de ses ancêtres. Elle a réalisé des expositions au Canada et à l’international et ses œuvres ont été acquises par le Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec et par le Musée du Vatican en Italie, entre autres. Elle est aussi cofondatrice du centre d’artistes Ahkwayaonhkeh.

Artists Manon Sioui and Anne-Marie Bouchard discuss their practices and explain their creative processes during a guided tour of their exhibition Yahndawa’: Vertige et les Sept feux on its final day.

Anne-Marie Bouchard lives and works in Quebec City. She has been making films and videos since 1999 and creating installations since 2001. Her filmmaking is an art of perception, of impressions, of evocation: of poetry. Her films have been shown at numerous national and international festivals.  

Manon Sioui is a multidisciplinary, self-taught indigenous artist from Wendake with over 30 years’ experience. Her work draws inspiration from the culture of her ancestors. She has held exhibitions in Canada and abroad, and her artworks have been acquired by the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec and the Vatican Museum in Italy, among others. She is also co-founder of the Ahkwayaonhkeh artist-run centre.  

Admission is free. All are welcome. The tour will be conducted in French, but questions may be asked in English. Information on accessibility can be found on our website.
