It holds our truths.This weekend long retreat will explore the river that runs deep inside our body. These rivers, housing protoplasm, carry our lineage, our trauma and our resilience. While the rivers are powerful carriers of knowledge, we must intentionally dance with them to feel them. Because we no longer dance with these rivers, they freeze inside of us and we stop dancing altogether. Dancing can be a metafor for listening to our rivers or enjoying our rivers, exploring our rivers. Dancing just happens to do all of those things.Each class will ask the question🌱 When and how did our people dance with the river ?🌱 How did we lose connection to our own rivers ?🌱 How may we dance again ?We will find answers through somatic exercizes of movement and experience. With a deep container of safety, we will slowly recreate important moments in our ancestral body and in our present body.Andréa will guide each particpant into a container of safety within themselves, which will host enough cacpity to ask these questions. Throughout the weekend, we will explore moments of quiet somatic exploration and other moments of louder movement exploration. We will sometimes spend an hour in somatic exploration of how your people used to explore their own rivers and an hour in somatic movement exploration inspired by newborn movements.
