Revered by his contemporaries and future fashion designers alike, Cristóbal Balenciaga represents the pinnacle of haute couture in the 1950s and 1960s. His exquisite craftsmanship, pioneering use of fabrics and innovative cutting set the tone for the modernity of late 20th century fashion.
Discover the creations, the exceptional skill and the legacy of Balenciaga through a major fashion exhibition organized by the Victoria and Albert Museum and a North American exclusive premiere.

SHALOM MONTREAL : Stories and Contributions of the Jewish Community
Until November 11 2018
The exhibition highlighs how the Jewish community has participated in the city’s growth and development during the 20th century. It features remarkable achievements in a variety of sectors—architecture, heritage preservation, health and science, human rights, business, the arts and culture—that have benefited, and continue to benefit, all Montrealers.
 
MARISA PORTOLESE : In the Studio with Notman
Until February 10 2019
Montreal artist Marisa Portolese is exhibiting a series of portraits inspired by her research into the Notman collection. For a number of years, Portolese has been making portraits of women from a feminist perspective. As a participant in the artist-in-residence program, she has sought to explore the studio tradition and its decors, paying particular attention to the backdrops and accessories used by Notman in photographing female subjects.
