RHYTHM JAM (based on Indian Classical Dance)

Come join a collective exploration of beat and movement!

Rhythm Jam is a playful, community-based workshop exploring rhythm through the lens of Indian classical dance. You’ll learn how to set a beat, vocalize it, and build rhythmic patterns—then translate them into movement. We’ll end with a joyful collective jam blending vocalization + play + movement in a supportive, high-energy space.

No prior experience needed—open to beginners, as well as dancers and musicians who want to deepen their rhythmic creativity.

• Introduction to rhythm through Indian classical dance
• Setting a beat + vocalization (spoken rhythm)
• Building rhythmic patterns (simple → complex)
• Tempo exploration + moving to rhythmic patterns
• Collective jamming: vocalization + play + movement

All levels welcome. No prior background required.

Comfortable clothes, a water bottle, and a notebook.
