Birds & Binoculars is a free, beginner-friendly birding series designed to help people of all ages learn about birds while enjoying the outdoors. The first event is in partnership with the Iowa Young Birders Association, each guided walk focuses on seasonal bird activity and local habitats.

Participants will explore different Monticello-area parks throughout the spring, summer, and fall, learning how to identify birds and understand their behaviors. Notice times of day varies. Binoculars and field guides are provided, and attendees are welcome to bring their own.

No prior birding experience is needed—just curiosity and a love for nature.
