Join Us for a Substantial MLK Day of Service Project!
Honor the legacy of service by joining us in a significant grounds transformation at the Planting Sanctuary this January. This hands-on event is focused on essential gardening, defining boundaries, and preparing the land for long-term beauty and growth.
Your help will lay the foundation for a vibrant and thriving sanctuary for the community!
🌱 Our Primary Transformation Goals Include:
Planting a Field of Blooms: We will be planting hundreds of daffodil bulbs received from The Capital Blooms Project, ensuring a spectacular display of color this spring.
Defining the Space: Installing a new privacy hedge to establish clear, beautiful boundaries for the property.
Long-Term Preparation: Implementing sheet mulching to revitalize and enrich the soil of a future garden area.
General Maintenance: We will also tackle various secondary tasks to ensure the property is generally well-maintained and ready for the year ahead.
What to Bring: No experience is necessary—just a willingness to roll up your sleeves! We recommend wearing sturdy shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We will provide tools, gloves, and refreshments for all volunteers.
RSVP & Support: Please register your spot via the link below so we can plan the necessary supplies and snacks!
