Grow 2026 - Soil and Seed Starting
Get the dirt on dirt! The secret to a healthy garden starts underground. Start your garden right by understanding what keeps soil healthy. Make soil mix together to use at home.

This free workshop will cover:
soil-what is it & why healthy soil matters
why compost is garden gold
Seed starting basics - how to grow your own tomatoes & peppers
Making your own seed starting mix

Kids are welcome at our workshops with their grown-ups.

The workshop is free, but donations are welcome and help us pay for supplies. This workshop is made possible by Montgomery Parks & Recreation and Montgomery City County Library.
