Through a highly interactive, hands-on learning experience, participants explore how immersion, presence, and the Immersive Experience Design can be used to intentionally design more engaging and meaningful learning without assuming that immersion requires advanced technology.Participants then build practical AI literacy through AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, generative AI tools, agents, applications, and AI-enabled workflows before bringing the two areas together. The course ultimately challenges faculty to shift from simply using AI or adding technology to instruction toward intentionally designing learner-centered experiences in which AI can enhance interaction, decision-making, personalization, feedback, problem-solving, and authentic application.
