Priscilla Melchior Book Signing

You are cordially invited to hear poet Priscilla Melchior read from her new book of poetry, "Cloister Walk."

Description: "Within this chapbook lies an invitation to step outside the day-to-day and enter the transformative realm of nature, whether it be deep in the Appalachian mountains, in wetlands along the coast, or just outside your door. Priscilla Melchior takes us into the dens of coyote, the courtship of deer, and along for the ride amid flights of butterflies, night hawks, eagles, and even the lowly turkey vulture. You'll find wonder in a silken spider web, joy in the chirps of frogs, and find yourself falling into the rhythms of the natural world whether pausing beside a creek to talk with a great blue heron or watching a hummingbird dip its beak into a cardinal flower just up the way-all by way of celebrating the physical world we all too often ignore."

Join us in the library meeting room at 2:00 p.m. for poetry and refreshments. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
