HairStory: The Musical

Join us for the world premiere of Hairstory: The Musical, a powerful new work by Janeece Freeman Clark (book & lyrics) and Lawrence Dandridge (music), presented in celebration of Black History Month.

This vibrant musical follows 10-year-old Jada on a transformative journey as she learns the global history, cultural significance, and ancestral strength woven into Black hair. With a dynamic original score blending pop, gospel, Latin, and global influences, Hairstory is a moving celebration of identity, heritage, and self-acceptance.
