Canadian Emergency Department Research Network (CEDRN): Town Hall 2026

Join us for the CEDRN Town Hall 2026! The CEDRN Townhall will bring together members, collaborators, and potential partners to foster connections, share ideas, and support the development of upcoming research projects. This interactive session is an opportunity to learn about CEDRN’s identity, infrastructure, and collaborative opportunities, provide feedback, and explore how we can work together to advance innovative research initiatives.

Info: We will share our mission statement, vision, and purpose—currently a work in progress—and highlight this as an opportunity for engagement and feedback.

Info: We will outline what we offer and what we do not, present our value proposition, and provide examples of CEDRN registries and studies, such as the Chest Pain Study or the Opioid Registry.

Info: We will discuss our membership, external collaborations—including industry partnerships—our connections with other research networks and innovative platforms, as well as our training opportunities for graduate students and early-career researchers, and our mentorship initiatives.

Info: Refreshments will be provided.

Info: We will explore automated versus manual data extraction, data linkages, the evolving data model and integration of AI, our engagement with Gemini, and learning health systems in action through the BC model and PANDA.

Info: We will review CEDRN operations and coordinating centre sustainment (Schedule C), outline our services—both necessary and optional—discuss how to budget for Schedule C in project grants, and highlight available funding opportunities.
