- **Event Description**: The Barony of the Angels welcomes one and all to the 43rd(?)annual Angels’ Melee. This year we are returning to our roots as a tune-up for thewar season. Assemble your force of six fighters and show your valor and spiritas part of the army of Caid. Sorry, no archery or thrown weapons allowed.

Site: Recreation Park, 620 S. Shamrock Ave. Monrovia, CA.91016.  This is a dry site. Dogs allowedon leash. No smoking anywhere on the park grounds. 

Armored melees will pit one half of all teams against theother half on a rotating basis.  The winningteam will be the one with the best overall record. There will be army warpractice afterwards.

There will be an army procession at opening court.  Each warband is requested to process into court,marching in with full banners, fighters, and support to present themselves toTheir Majesties, letting them know that they are ready to fight for the gloryof Caid! 

Kingdom photographers will be available to take photos ofeach warband as they march up to Their Majesties, and afterward take a photographof each warband.

The rapier community will be running a variety of Asian-themedscenarios in their own eric. Bring your five fighters and get ready to kick off2020 with several fun scenarios. 

Youth Combat will be available. Melees against thechivalry and Queen's Guard are anticipated.

There will be a contest for the best poem in praise ofthe Army of Caid. 

Event Schedule:

7:00am - Site opens

9:00am - Lists open

10:00am - Opening court (At Their Majesties’ pleasure.)

11:00 - Lists close

4:00 - Closing court

6:00 - Site closes 

Registration: $13.00 for adults. Adult SCA members $8.00.  Children 5 and under are guests of thebarony. Please make checks payable to SCA, Inc./Barony of the Angels.
