# Event Details - **Event Name**: 27th Annual Tour de Shunk - **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 20 Sep, 2026 at 07:30 am (-04:00) - **Event Description**: Our story... In the mid-1990s, local cycling enthusiasts decided to turn their favorite routes into a Century Ride, showcasing the beauty of riding in Sullivan, Bradford, Lycoming, and Tioga counties - while raising funds for local charities at the same time. The Tour de Shunk was born, named after a small town in Sullivan Co. just beyond a steep climb up Wheelerville Mountain. Rocky's Bike Shop has hosted, where family & volunteers fix a spaghetti supper afterward while the Fireflies Massage Team worked to soothe sore muscles. Unfortunately the post-ride massage is no longer offered, but the cycling, the food, the climbs, & the sights make it one of your most memorable rides. Since its start, the event has generated over $130,000 for several nonprofits including Livestrong, ThinkBIG, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
